Frank felt frustrated. He had specifically arranged all of this to please Noelle. However, Xenia ended up stealing the spotlight.
Although it was a misunderstanding, he still didn't feel right about it. Every time he tried to reconcile with Noelle, Xenia appeared at the wrong moment, only to make things worse.
Xeni looked at Noelle with red eyes and a pitiful expression. "Noelle, I really didn't mean to cause this. I thought you were hiding your identity to get a better internship experience here."
Noelle's lips curled into a cold smile. She couldn't help but admire how quickly Xenia's mind worked.
It was no wonder she ended up losing to Xenia in her previous life. But when Isaac saw Xenia crying, he immediately stood up for her. "Mr. Liddell, I don't think this is Ms. Quigley's fault. Ms. Liddell could have revealed her identity at any time but chose not to. Who's to blame?"
He thought he looked quite heroic standing up for her. Maybe Xenia would even develop feelings for him.
Frank shot him a cold look. "So, you're the man who hit Noelle yesterday, right? I've been looking for you."
Isaac's face immediately turned pale. "She attacked me first."
"That was because you used foul language toward her. You can pack up and leave."
Isaac immediately panicked. This wasn't how he had expected things to go. He quickly looked toward Xenia for help.
Gritting her teeth, Xenia said, "Frank, he just fixed the firewall and solved a big problem. We can't just fire him like this."
Frank was surprised. "Wasn't it Noelle who fixed the firewall?"
Bobby quickly clarified, "Ms. Liddell said her code was stolen."
He knew about the project, and since Noelle had been involved from the start, she must have the skills.
As the IT department's team leader, Isaac had been unable to solve the firewall issue for so long. How could he suddenly fix it?
Isaac defended himself. "I didn't steal it. I wrote the code myself."
