"He went back to Drakonia for our older brother's funeral," Rylan replied. His voice was hoarse, indicating he had been crying.

Rylan shook his head. "It's alright. I don't even remember what he looked like. I've only been with Ronan for as long as I can remember."
"I understand," Nash said. He then turned to the woman. "Alright, you should head home now."
"I... I told you, I don't have a home..."
"It's too dangerous here. I don't want you to get caught up in this mess. The previous fire already made that clear."

Rylan interrupted, "If she doesn't have a family, she can stay here."
"Hey, I told you—" Nash turned to Rylan.
"What else are we supposed to do? We can't just leave her on the street," Rylan said, unusually agitated.
Seeing Rylan's reaction, Nash relented. Since they were in the Florentine family's company, they probably would not be implicated because of him and Theo.
"Alright then." He nodded. "What's your name?"
Nash realized he had not asked the woman's name yet. To his surprise, she shook her head again.
