Love Beyond the Mask novel Chapter 836

Endora flashed a sly smile and suddenly whipped out her smartphone. "Oh, by the way, Parker, big bro Barclay has been scouring Emperor City looking for you these days. Now that you're back, how about I give him a buzz and you guys can catch up?"

She meant well—or so it seemed. As soon as Barclay showed up, she'd have what she needed, and Parker would be hers before the night was over!

Hearing this, Parker immediately put down his drink, his demeanor chilling as he approached, snatched Endora's phone, and issued a stern warning, "We can't contact him!"

He'd done his homework. Barclay was a man without limits, having been bought off by Jarvis to falsely accuse Ludwik of murder in his absence.

Barclay was essentially a spy for the Patricks now.

If Barclay caught wind of his survival too soon, he'd surely sell the info to the Patricks for a hefty sum.

The trap he and Ludwik had set for the Patricks and Bryce couldn't afford any slip-ups!

"Why wouldn't you want to contact your bro?" Endora, puzzled by his icy gaze, couldn't understand.

"Just go take a shower," Parker brushed off, not wanting her to pry further.

Endora, however, mistook his dismissal for a sign of relenting. It was dark outside already.

As the night deepened, she believed a man's desires grew stronger. Later, when she made her move, Parker being a typical man, would surely not resist her charms.

With a seductive swagger, she entered the bathroom, "Then wait for me..."

Parker was oblivious to Endora's suggestive glance.

His thoughts were preoccupied with the nuisance of being spotted by Endora today.

How could he send this woman back to Banyan City?

As he lit a cigarette, a message popped up on his phone.

It was from Tiana.

With a deep frown, he stood by the window and opened the message.

Tiana had sent an email filled with photos of Endora dating various men!

Tiana: [Here's a timeline. During the two months you've been gone, Endora went back to Banyan City and met with 8 heirs of wealth, 10 young bachelors, including four wealthy widowed CEOs. I've also got info on her hotel stays, if you're interested?]

Tiana: [I didn't dig up this dirt to break you two up, Mr. Doonan. Just thought you deserved to know. Endora is more...liberated than you might think. You don't really believe that Liam buying her gifts was just business, do you? I know you're not naive. Endora's family drove mine to bankruptcy, making my life miserable these past three years. You wouldn't believe me, siding with her because she 'saved your life.' Maybe now you'll see?]

The last message from Tiana was dripping with sarcasm: [After you disappeared, she came to Emperor City causing trouble, never even met me. Just heard from Whitney you might be dead and immediately went back to Banyan City to find another rich guy.]

After reading the email, there were no more messages from Tiana.

Parker's fingers clenched around his phone, his gaze turning colder as he viewed the photos of Endora’s escapades.

Truth be told, he felt more disgusted than disappointed.

Aside from the revulsion, there was an odd sense of relief.

Ever since that night Endora 'sacrificed' herself to save him, his initial gratitude had evolved into a burdensome obligation.

The Doonan family, valuing honor above all, had decided he should marry Endora. They were engaged, but his feelings for her were nonexistent beyond that chaotic night three years ago.

That night, she was naive and crying, and he, under the influence, had almost taken her life.

But to think, Endora had been playing the field so openly.
