Love Beyond the Mask novel Chapter 1117

Ludwik took the bag, quickly opening it to reveal a soaked phone inside.

Erik ran over, eyes wide as he pointed out, "That's the CEO’s briefcase, and the phone's hers too!"

"Of course, it’s a signal left by your mother," Ludwik narrowed his eyes, his voice cool and speculative. "She must have been taken from this spot. In a panic, Florence tossed her phone into the water, thinking she could destroy the evidence… This road leads to—"

Ludwik’s long fingers traced the sign, "Emperor City’s Mystic Mountain Canyon."

Whitney’s heart skipped a beat, her face turning pale. "Mystic Mountain Canyon is undeveloped wilderness in Emperor City. I've heard there are dangerous underground rivers leading to the sea, and people have died exploring down there!"

"Exactly," Hudson’s face also showed concern. "If Parisa was taken in there, the chances of her getting out are slim… We can’t waste time, let’s go after her. The forest might be vast, but there’s only one entrance, and I know where it is."

"Uncle, your health isn’t fit for this kind of risk," Ludwik frowned, quickly dialing Felix, "Use my authority to mobilize the police. Tell them Ms. Tennyson has been kidnapped and they need to head to Mystic Mountain Road immediately.

By the way, have you found out what Bryce has been up to these past few hours?"

"Mr. Lippert, I checked Bryce's mansion—he's not home. After getting out of the station, he went to his bankrupt company and contacted several international lawyers. I looked into it, and these lawyers specialize in notarization."

"Notary lawyers," Ludwik’s eyes narrowed with a cold edge as he swiftly grabbed Whitney's hand. "He wants to make your mother's assets legal in his name. Once she signs over the rights, she’s of no use to him anymore."

"We need to move, now!"

"I'm coming too!" Hudson's handsome, weathered face was filled with urgency and anger. "If Florence dares to harm your mom, she’s beyond redemption."
