Whitney felt a chill in her heart, "Maybe Ludwik was right. He wants to torment me slowly. He hasn't shown his true colors yet, probably because he hasn't got me, and I haven't fallen for him or submitted to him.
If I were to carry his child, that's when he'd reveal his true self and start his real revenge."
"But today, Ryder intercepted those two surveillance videos. We could use them to force a divorce," Shane remarked, raising a skeptical eyebrow. "For someone as hypocritical as Bryce, his reputation is everything. He's climbed the social ladder on that alone; he definitely wouldn't want those videos getting out."
Whitney remained silent.
She would keep those videos safe.
A cold sigh settled in her heart. Three years ago, Bryce did help her a lot when she was hurt by Ludwik, always standing by her side.
Now, Whitney couldn't discern whether those were his true feelings or pretense.
She never imagined they would come to this point one day.
Even though she didn't love him, she had been grateful to him.
But Bryce, he never gave up on wanting her, what was he really after?
Whitney's mind was a mess, engulfed in a cold fog.
"Living with Bryce is like walking on a knife's edge," Shane warned bluntly. "If you won't move out, at least lock your doors at night and check in with me for your safety!
You wouldn't want me to spill the beans to Ludwik about the danger you're in, would you? He might try to stop you then."
Whitney glared at him, not wanting Ludwik to find out and complicate things further.
She reluctantly nodded, "Thanks, Shane."
"Also, I think it's best to keep your kids with Ludwik for now. Don't let them spend too much time with Bryce.
I suspect Bryce isn't just seeing one woman. Given his experience, he's definitely not sticking to just one secretary. Who knows if he's clean?"
Whitney cringed, her skin crawling at the thought.

On the other side, Bryce was feeling refreshed after venting with his secretary.
Then, he received a call from Inko Group. Phineas, who had been avoiding him just that morning, now wanted to sign a deal with him.
A stroke of luck, Bryce thought, but he was always cautious.
After hanging up, he immediately called Jarvis, "Jarvis, did Inko Group contact you too?"
"You got the call as well?" Jarvis chuckled with a hint of smugness. "Phineas is considering giving the deal to the Patrick Group after all. I knew it. With Ludwik's current status, how could Phineas possibly favor him?
Agreeing to meet Ludwik was probably just a formality.
I've heard Phineas values reputation above all. He's probably just trying to avoid badmouthing Ludwik behind his back.
Right now, the real top company in Emperor City is the Patrick Group, followed by your Lutz Group.
Why would Inko Group settle for less?"
Bryce felt reassured.
Even a small collaboration with Inko Group was a big step for the Lutz Group.
He immediately had his secretary prepare the proposal and contract, excitedly heading to the signing venue.
Phineas himself was present, sitting solemnly in the business meeting room.
