Defying Fate: The Unstoppable Eileen novel Chapter 365

The starting plane for the show "Valiant Quest" was a modified beast.

From the outside, it looked just like any other commercial airplane. But inside, the entire cabin had been gutted of seats and replaced with four long benches running from front to back.

A hundred contestants were crammed onto these benches.

Eighty of them were men.

Twenty were women.

Eileen sat on the last bench, towards the rear.

Beside her was a black girl with dreadlocks.

The girl was munching on a hot dog, her thick lips smacking, her hands greasy.

Eileen scooted away slightly, but the girl moved closer, nudging Eileen's shoulder. "Where are you from?" she asked.

Eileen replied casually, "From Crestonia."

The girl nodded, took another bite of her hot dog, and then offered it to Eileen. "Want some?"

Eileen shook her head.

The girl suddenly frowned. "Are you snubbing me?"

Eileen thought, Well, aren't you perceptive.

"No," Eileen said politely. "I just don't like hot dogs."

The girl eyed Eileen suspiciously for a moment, then shrugged. "Wanna form an alliance?"

Eileen remembered the show's briefing. "Isn't it a solo competition? We can have alliances?"

The girl chuckled. "If you know people, you can team up. It's just me and Rose right now. If you join, we'll be three."

She gestured to another skinny girl with dreadlocks beside her. They looked like mismatched twins.

Eileen waved her hand dismissively. "I'm just here for fun. No alliances for me."

The girl squinted at Eileen. "I know Dick and his crew. If you team up with me, he might cut you some slack."

Eileen blinked. "Dick?"

The girl nodded towards a group laughing nearby. "That one in the middle is Dick. He's not fond of people who aren't white."

Eileen raised an eyebrow. "People of color?"

"Yeah, like Asians, Blacks, Latinos."

Eileen's expression turned icy. "Is he sick in the head?"

The girl stiffened, suddenly nervous. "Keep it down! If he hears you, I can't help you!"

Eileen remained silent, her face set in stone.

The girl edged away. "Never mind. Don't team up with us. You're too much of a risk."

The plane flew towards the "battlefield," a journey of twenty minutes.

In those twenty minutes, the cabin buzzed with activity.

Some were forming alliances, others huddled together strategizing, while some wolfed down food and water to stock up on energy.

Twenty minutes later, the staff handed out parachutes to everyone.

As Eileen queued up for her parachute, someone bumped into her.

She turned to see a white girl wearing a skimpy camo vest that barely contained her ample chest.

The girl sneered at Eileen, then turned to cuddle up to the man behind her.

The man was none other than Dick.

Eileen glanced at him.

Seeing Eileen looking, Dick puffed up his chest, flaunting his muscles, and flipped her the bird.

"Valiant Quest" was a live show.

But it wasn't globally broadcast—only in the USA.

In Eileen's fan group, someone had found out about her participation and set up a stream to relay the broadcast from the US channel.

From the moment Eileen's participation was confirmed, to the fans' swift actions, to the hashtag #EileenOnUSShow trending on Twitter—it all happened in under fifteen minutes.

So when countless Crestonians swarmed the streaming platform to see their compatriot on a foreign show, they caught sight of a white muscleman flipping off their beloved Eileen.

The comment section exploded!

—"???"

—"What's this nonsense?"
