Chapter 86
“You. You’re abusing your power! I’m going to report you to the higher–ups in the financial building!” Sophie sputtered, clearly caught off guard by her sudden dismissal. Luna gave her a long, unimpressed look. The other two supervisors exchanged glances, each wearing the same expression–like they were looking at an idiot.
Even their internal thoughts veere almost audible. Was Sophie really this stupid?
I was as if Sophie had completely forgotten that even the senior executives in the Financial Tower referred to Janice as “Ms. Smith” with the utmost respect.
Besides, they didn’t have a say in how things were nam here.
What did it mean to bring someone in suddenly?
What did it mean to hire someone with a high salary?
What did it mean to be the director of the Product Division?
This was it!
Any decision made by Janice didn’t need the approval of the CEO!
Janice smiled. “Go ahead Ill be here waiting.”
Sophie’s face tumed a furious shade of red. With a buff, she stormed out of the office, heading straight for the financial building!
But as she marched away, her confidence wavered. Deep down, Sophie lonew the truth. The executives in the financial building had no authority over Janice. Damn it!
How could a wretch like Janice have the nerve to fireher?
Back in the Product Division, Janice said, “Everyone, back to work. Luna, meet with Yvonne later — she’ll walk you through the responsibilities of the Crochet Director.” Although Luna wasn’t particularly fond of office politics, she couldn’t hide her satisfaction. A promotion was a promotion, after all
“Understood, Ms. Smith!”
As soon as they returned to their desk, Fiona and Isabella gasted no time, First, they had someone return the glits Heidi had sent over. Then, they deleted Heidi’s contact from their phones without hesitation
Between Heidi and Janice, they feared Janke mare!
with competition brewing, the seamstresses‘ work area was abuzz with energy.
At precisely 3:30 in the afternoon, Janice prepared to head to her second lesson with the double–sided crochet team she had just stepped out of her office when she unexpected encountered Sophie in the corridor.
Sophie raised her head and confidently said, “You don’t have the authority to fire me. At Prosper Stlich Group, the dismissal of any crochet supervisor requires Mr. Moore’s signature.”
Just then, Harrison walked over with a smile and handed janice a treshly printed contract. “This is the termination contract for Ms. Pearce that you requested. Mr. Moore has already signed it.”
Sophie froze, the blood draining from her fare
Even Edward listened to this woman?
Janice took the contract and thanked Harrison. After he left, she shoved the contract into Sophie’s hands.
