When everyone got back to work, rumors started spreading throughout the company.

Edward definitely treated Janice differently!

A few gossip-loving employees huddled together during work hours.

"What do you mean 'differently'? Spill!"

"Mr. Moore asked Ms. Smith to have lunch with him!"

"Isn't that normal? What's so strange about that?"

"No, you don't get it. It was his tone. It sounded way too intimate. Like, really intimate, you know?"

"I don't."

The employee sighed dramatically. "Whatever. All I'm saying is when I saw Mr. Moore and Ms. Smith standing together today, they looked like the perfect couple."

Before long, the entire finance office of Prosper Stitch Group was buzzing with speculation. People whispered and gossiped in secret.

Meanwhile, the two people at the center of it all were completely unaware because they were having lunch.

Edward had said he'd come to look for Janice, and he actually brought lunch to the Product Division.

"Try this," he said.

He even personally served her food, using a separate set of cutlery he had brought along.

"Where did you get this?"

"I had Harrison buy it," Edward replied. "I have to visit one of our international branches in a few days."

"How long will you be gone?"

"I'm not sure yet." Edward thought for a moment before continuing, "I think you should start learning how to run a company properly. Since Refined Threads Co. will be under your management, you need the experience."

"What are you trying to say?" Janice asked.

"While I'm away, Matilda will assist you. If anything comes up in the finance office, discuss it with her. And if it's urgent, call me."

Was he seriously letting her "practice" with an entire corporation?

Edward might have the guts for that, but she didn't.

Janice immediately rejected the idea. "Don't joke around. I've never had formal training for this. One bad decision could put Prosper Stitch Group at risk."

Edward raised an eyebrow. "But weren't you already managing most of Refined Threads Co. before?"

Her eyelashes fluttered slightly. "That's different. Refined Threads Co. is small. It's nothing compared to Prosper Stitch Group."
