However, the intensity in Ethan’s gaze vanished quickly, leaving only warmth and gentleness 

josephine blinked in confusion, wondering if she had misread it. How could Ethan have looked at her with such an intense gaze? It must have been a mistake. 

Just then, her phone rang. Seeing Winnie’s name on the screen, she quickly answered. 

Winnie excitedly said, “Josephine, look at this!” 

She pointed the camera at the table, where a pair of sparlding gold–and–silver high heels Lay. 

“Is this the unique pair designed by Thompson?” Josephine asked. 

Winnie smiled in satisfaction “Exactly. Before I saw these shoes, I didn’t care about getting them. I just knew I had to teach that little bitch a lesson. But Josephine, I’m so happy now. I love these shoes. Thank you so much for giving them to me.” 

Josephine was speechless. “So the shoes weren’t lost? Nadine lied to me!TM 

Winnie snorted. “You’re just too easy to deceive. If I were you, I’d make sure she wouldn’t dare pull something like this again. That little bitch is laveling at my front door right now.” 

“Nadine?” Josephine was stunned. “You made her kneel? 

“Yup!” Winnie scoffed. “She won’t get up until I forgive her. I can’t believe she thought she could get away with it, just wait, I’ll make you feel even better!” She grabbed her phone and hurried downstairs to the villa’s entrance. Through the camera, Josephine could clearly see Nadine kneeling on the ground. 

In the cold wind, Nadine knelt in her red dress, her long hair blowing in the breeze. Her pale face looked fragile and helpless, with two streaks of tears running down her cheeks. 

Anyone unaware would think she was an innocent soul being bullied by a tyrant. 

Wine barely gave her pitiful expression a second thought. She sneered and said, “Bitch, listen carefully. If you ever think about going after Josephine again, ruin your face and make your life worse than a pig’s. You stay on your knees until I forgive you. Don’t you dare move until the sun goes down!”
