Ethan laughed and gave her a sign to take a couple steps back. He then opened the door and got out of the car. As soon as he got out of the car, he could feel the cold. wind blowing

“Do I look like a weakling who would just let others walk all over me without fighting back? If he provoked me, of course I would teach him a lesson. What about you? What are you doing downstairs?” 

Just when Josephine was about to explain, her phone started ringing. It was Thompson calling and she quickly answered 

“Josephine, where are you? Do you want to come over?” 

Thompson didn’t sound as mad as before, but he sounded more anxious this time. This was not like him at all and Josephine was starting to get really worried. She didn’t want any other bigger issues to stem from the shoe incident. 

“I’ll go over night now.” 

As she hung up, she looked at Ethan and said, “I’m pushing somewhere. I have to go now she took off his jacket and returned it to him as soon as she decided to leave. However, Ethan made no motion to accept the jacket. Instead, he asked, “Where are you going? I have nothing to do now, so I can give you a ride.” “It’s alright, it’s too late now. Josephine found it funny and thought he was being paranoid. However, when she saw the sincerity in his eyes, she decided against saying anything silly. 

“If that’s the case, could you please give me a lift?” Josephine thought that before Ethan was continued for the role of the lead actor, he would be trying his best to curry favous with her. 

When she got in the car, she quickly keyed in the address to Thompson’s work studio on the car’s navigation system. When he saw the address, Ethan asked curiously, “Are you going to investigate the shoe incident?” 

“Even you know about it?” Josephine sald as she massaged her throbbing temple. “This is not a big deal but it still caused a stir. I need to find out the truth for myself and Thompson so I could explain the incident to Winnie.” 

When they got to the work studio, Josephine quickly unbuckled her seatbelt. When Ellun reached the passenger seat, she was already halfway out of the car Nevertheless, Ethan still behave like gentleman as he shielded her from bumping into the roof of the car. He waited till she got out of the car and closed the door behind her. 

“Would you like me to go in with you?” 

“You’d be bored waiting around here. Come in with me and find out what happened then.” 

Pearl was waiting for Josephine in the hall. When she saw Josephine walking in, she immediately greeted her, “Josephine, you’re here.”
