Josephine couldn’t help but laugh at Thompson’s angry tone. “Why are you more u upset than I am? Alright, no need t help me pack the shoes and send them over. I’ll give you my current address.”

At Thompson’s work studio, an assistant rushed downstairs with a box in hand and called over someone.

The assistant carefully placed the shoes on the counter, then immediately took out their phone to arrange the delivery. 

Meanwhile, Nadine, who was trying on clothes on the first floor, overbeard the conversation. She quietly walked up to the front desk and asked, “Do you have these shoes in size 7?” 

“Sony, we’re out of stock in size 37.” 

“You didn’t even bother to check properly before saying that. How’s that for service?” 

Nadine then added with a smile, “Go check in the backforme.” 

The assistant was a bit annoyed, but remembering the consequences of customer complaints, she frowned and reluctantly walked toward the back storage. Once she was gone, Nadine glanced around to make sure no one was paying attention. Then, she opened the box without hesiration. She swapped the high heels inside with another pair she had just bought, and closed it up again. 

After doing all of that, her heart raced, but she took a deep breath and leaned casually against the counter, acting as if nothing had happened. 

She knew there were security cameras above. 

She knew this would eventually be exposed, but it didn’t matter. 

Once it was revealed, Zayn would cover for her she wasn’t afraid at all. 

Moreover, it was worth it if she was able to see Josephine make a fool of herself at Winnie’s birthday party. 

„After a moment, the assistant burriedly came back out. “I checked, and we really don’t have any in size 37.“ 

Nadine pretended to be uninterested, waving her hand dismissively. “Then it’s fine.” 

She then tumed back to continue selectfug clothes and shoes. 

At this moment, the courier amived. He assistant quickly placed the shoebox into a packaging box, sealed it, wrote the address, and handed it over to the delivery

with the box, Nadine smirked, clearly satisfied, 

The next moming, Josephine returned to Crestwood on her own 

She didn’t go back to the mansion, instead checking into a hotel. However, when Zarm called, saying he would come pick her up, she agreed without besitation. Even if it was just for Winde, tonight, she would play the role of a loving wife with Zayn. 

As soon as she stepped out of the hotel stairwell, she spotted Zayn standing in the lobby.
