“You’re dead meat!” 

Zayu steadied himself and turned around, his face twisted 

Simon’s legs trembled with anxiety. After glancing at the tearful josephine, he steeled himself and rushed in front of Zayn to block him. 

“Mr. Forbes, this is Arthur’s party. If you start a fight, you’ll be disrespecting him. It might even make the news. Let’s not push out buck. If we keep this up, it’ll end 

He had been futious, but simon’s words managed to calm him down 

He had already caused enough trouble with Nadine earlier. She was nearly thrown out by Arthur. If he were to start a fight in the backyard, he would undoubtedly be 

Genting caught in this situation was bad enough. What worried him even more was the possibility of paparazzi lurking nearby,

With these thoughts in mind, he clenched his fists and suppressed his anger. “Fine, I’ll let you off the hook for now, Josephine, come home with me. 

As he spoke, he tried to reach for her again, but once again, Ethan stepped in front of her 

Josephine didn’t want Ethan to get involved again, so she quickly cut him off sharply. “Zayn, get lost! I’m not going anywhere with you. If you keep this up, I’ll have to call the police” 

“What did you just say?” 

What a bold threat to call the police! 

It was one thing to lose her temper in front of him at home, but to do so in public was another matter altogether. 

Zayn was truly infuriated, his eyes radiating a cold fury, 

“Josephine, I’ve spoiled you rotten,” he said. “You think you can enjoy the high lite and attend Arthur’s party just because of who you are? Do you think you’re living so well, enjoying all this laury, and attending Arthur’s parties because of your own ment? If you weren’t Mrs. Forbes, you’d be nothing one more stunt like 

Josephine looked at him in astonidanent. Did he really think she’d been spending his money all these years because she had none of her own? 

She had to lower her standard of living dress to his taste, and wear the jewelry he bought solely to satisfy his overblown masculine pride. 

She never thought that one day he would use money to threaten her. 

She was truly worthless to him. 

“Zayn, you’re getting way too full of yourself,” she said 

1 am, aren’t 1?” he retorted, “I was so full of myself, thinking that as long as I treated you well, you’d obediently stay at home and be my supportive wife. Tums out, Thad spoiled you rotten. How did I let things get so out of hand? 

The more he spoke, the angrier he became, his temple throbbing with rage. His words became increasingly unfiltered.
