Arthur snorted. "No way. I'm absolutely certain—Ethan was definitely nervous today!"
"Why?" Josephine's curiosity was piqued. "What was he nervous about? Is this lead role that important to him?"
"It is extremely important, actually. It might just determine his entire future—his fate, his happiness, maybe even his entire life. That's pretty important, don't you think?"
Why was he making it sound so dramatic? Josephine stared at him, exasperated. "The role in my movie can affect his whole life? Are you serious?"
He grinned. "Curious, aren't you? Aren't you dying to find out? Well, too bad—I'm not telling you. You'll find out eventually. Or, maybe... You never will."
Josephine was at a loss for words. He was being cryptic on purpose, trying to bait her into asking him. Well, she wasn't falling for it.
"Ms. Dunn, big news! Huge news!" Just then, Mason burst through the door, clutching his phone, his face flushed with excitement. "Mr. Frye from Royal Cinema wants to have dinner with you at 8:00 pm tonight, at the Boathouse!"
Josephine blinked. "Mr. Frye? Who's that?"
The assistant director practically jumped out of his chair. "Mr. Frye? Wait—don't tell me you mean Matthew Frye?"
"No way! Holy crap, he's a big shot!"
"I heard he owns at least 800 theaters. But are you sure it's the Mr. Frye? Or is it just a relative of his?"
