In response to Zane's question, I said affirmatively, "Obviously! Your company is big-scaled and can help Otis' business grow. You're handsome, and you treat your girlfriend well—that's enough to make any woman swoon."
If most men had looks and personalities like that of Zane's, even if they weren't as rich as he was, they would still find themselves as popular marriage candidates. But Zane was clueless about how much of a catch he was.
When Zane finished the video, I showed him the other video. After going through them all, Zane was speechless.
"They were being so obvious. Were they worried you wouldn't notice?"
"Who knows?" I said, shrugging. Then, I asked, "But are you going somewhere?"
If Zane had been in the office the entire time, Yelena wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet Zane.
After pondering about it, Zane said, "I have a dinner party to attend tonight. Don't worry; I will never fall for another woman."
He hurriedly made a promise, but I didn't think too much about it.
"It's normal if you are swayed. After all, we look somewhat alike." Even though I hated Otis, I could not deny the fact that I inherited some parts of Otis' features, as did Yelena.
Zane gently caressed my face and said, "If it was your face that I liked, my partners would've introduced me to many other women who look like you. We wouldn't have to wait until Yelena."
Curious, I asked, "If it's not my face, then what is it that you love about me?"
As he continued to gently caress my cheek, Zane said, "Your smarts, your personality, and everything else. All of it comes together to form a unique person—you."
It was the first time I heard Zane say such things; I felt a little emotional.
As Zane gazed at me, he continued to say, "If you were so replaceable, why would I wait until now before I finally date someone? I would've been married for a long time."
I agreed with Zane and said, "You're right."
