Casper picked up his phone to find a notification of a bank deposit, and he felt his mind go blank.

Another message from Jessica followed. "I've transferred the money. Can you check if you've received it?"

Casper replied instantly, "Got it."

His heart raced. Was Jessica not bluffing? Did she truly care for him? Surely, she wouldn't have transferred the money if she didn't have feelings for him.

Casper's emotions were in turmoil, but he decided to focus on the project for now. As for Jessica's money, he'd treat it as an investment in the project. Once it started generating revenue, he'd share the profits with her proportionally.
