"I never thought you will come for me. Never thought anyone will come for me" Tears crowd Alexandra's eyes.

"Hey don't think like that" Zac heart aches. He wanted to see her smile not cry. "We were coming for you and you also have Nathaniel"

"He got hurt because of me" The memory shot through her mind and tears brims down her cheeks.

"No he didn't. It was never because of you"

"You're just trying to make me feel better"

Zac frowned. He wasn't trying to make her feel better but tell her the truth. This wasn't her doing but Adam Hawthorn's. All of this, the plot and even her rebirth happened because of Adam. His greed and quest for something that shouldn't have been his to begin with.

Adam's greed led him to kill her in the most horrifying manner and Zac could still remember how it felt when Alexandra's rebirth gave way for them to see through the past. If it hadn't been for her no one would survive today.

After the assembly, Adam was planning on finishing her off and Nathaniel couldn't have fought his way all through because of the witch.

"I'm not trying to make you feel better Alexandra but I want to tell you the truth. I would never lie to you"

The more Alexandra stared into his eyes. He wasn't lying which only meant that there was more but what was it?

"If it wasn't because of me then how come Adam was able to hurt Nathaniel" She licks her dry lips. "Because I know that Nathaniel is stronger than I, let alone Adam Hawthorn. He is no match for my Alpha"

Zac admires the manner in which she had referred to Nathaniel as her Alpha. It was cute but not to be distracted, he still have some loose ends to tie.

"It was the witch's doing"

"The witch?" She arched up her brow at him "What witch?"

"Adam's witch"

"Adam has a witch" She was confused.

"Have you forgotten the witch who killed you? The one who slit your throat and hurt your wolf"

Alexandra remembered it all, her screams, cries, the pain that she felt when it all happened and Adam just stood there while she was murdered. He inflicted pain on her together with his witch.
