The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 2265

He had become nothing more to her than a convenient tool.

Balfour escorted Diana to the precinct, and the officers who had last dealt with the drama crew were shell-shocked.

How could one acting troupe be plagued by one incident after another?

This time, it had even escalated to an attempt on someone’s life!

The motive and methods behind Diana’s actions sent shivers down their spines. Was she really capable of such brutality towards a fellow actor, all for her selfish gains?

Even as she arrived at the precinct, there was not a hint of remorse in her demeanor.

One look at her, and the interrogating officer knew they were in for a tough battle. In contrast, Kael seemed like a man whose defenses had crumbled; he would likely be easier to handle.

Balfour took a seat outside the interrogation room, waiting for the outcome.

Now, he could finally breathe a sigh of relief. If they had not caught Diana, he would never have been able to rest easy about Ivy's safety.

“Diana, why did you suddenly show up in the lounge tonight? According to other crew members, production has been halted for over two days. What do you have to say for yourself?”

Diana offered a carefree smile. “Colton always encouraged us to treat the set like our own home. Do I really need a reason to be at my home?”

The officer was not buying it. “Cut the act, Diana. This is a police station, not a theater. Spare me the theatrics.”

Her smile slowly faded. “Then I've got nothing else to say. I want my lawyer. I won't speak a word until my lawyer gets here.”

The interrogation had stalled the previous night at her sealed lips, only making progress thanks to a strategy suggested by Balfour.

Maybe it was best for everyone to rest up and come back prepared for the fight ahead.

Balfour’s next move was to meet with the bigwig at Starlight Entertainment. He was curious to see if they would dare go head-to-head with the Howard Group to save their troubled actress.
