“Stay put for now. You’re not in any condition to move yet.” Sophia told Marcus, “I’m going to get the hotel staff to open the room door. I need to bring in some cold medicine for you. The sooner you take it, the sooner you’ll get better.”
With that, she turned to leave, but...
“Hold on.” Marcus called out to her.
Sophia stopped. “What’s up, Marcus?”
“I don’t want to trouble the hotel staff. I’ve already dressed up. I’ll open the door for you.”
“Ah, you’re up already? Then okay. Be careful getting out of bed.”
With Sophia occupied, Marcus turned to Ellinor, who was still lying in his arms. They shared a silent understanding, and Ellinor stood up, opening the balcony door to leave.
After closing the balcony door securely, Marcus messed up the bed covers a bit and undid the top two buttons of his shirt before going to open the door for Sophia.
As Sophia entered, she subconsciously glanced around the room, sensing something off but unable to pinpoint exactly what it was.
"Where's the medicine?" Marcus asked, bringing her attention back to him.
Sophia looked down at Marcus and noticed his undone buttons. Her suspicions faded a bit, and she handed him the box of medicine.
"This is it. Take two pills at a time, twice a day."
Marcus accepted it calmly. "Right. Got it."
Sophia felt his forehead. "You don't seem as feverish as before. Marcus, take the medicine now, okay? Wait here, I'll get you a glass of water."
