The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1597

She was only joking.

However, the man slightly lifted his head and began looking at her with a profound gaze. "Maybe it's true."

Ellinor was a bit surprised, looking at him with slight curiosity. "Theo, is it that easy for you to fall for someone? That's so flaky of you."

Marcus fell silent.

This little girl was quite the tough cookie.

His temper flared. He grabbed her hand, pulling her into his arms.

Although the man's legs were no longer functional, the strength of his upper body was not to be underestimated.

Ellinor didn't have time to react before she was entrapped. She was forced to sit on his lap with his arms tightly wrapped around her waist.

"Although I don't remember you, you feel familiar to me. So, it's not love at first sight with you. It’s more like recognition at first sight. However, I must admit that I'm very interested in you."

Ellinor struggled a bit but realized she couldn't break free from his arms. She simply gave up.

It wasn’t that she didn't want him to touch her; she was just afraid to press on his legs since they were already in a bad state.

But since he was holding onto her so tightly without letting go, his legs should be fine, so she relented.

"Okay, Theo. I believe you. Just loosen up a bit; it's uncomfortable when you hold me so tight."

Marcus smelled the light scent on her, which made her feel even more familiar to him. He was eager to get closer to her. Instinctively, he tightened his hold, unwilling to let her go. "Don't move; let me hold you a bit longer. You'll have to leave soon."

Ellinor let him hold her. "Aren't you afraid of getting caught?"
