Ellinor was a bit annoyed to find that Bartlett was still around.
"Why is Mr. Rex still here? I thought you'd have left by now."
Bartlett chuckled. "Trying to get rid of me again? Didn't we agree to have dinner together?"
Seeing that it was already five in the afternoon, he continued, "It's almost time for dinner. Shall we go?"
Ellinor pulled a face. When did she agree to that?
Byran, who was tired from his gaming, chimed in. "Bartlett, you're having dinner with my sister? Why not join us? I was planning on going out for dinner with Ida."
Ida stood by Ellinor's side, not saying a word.
Bartlett smiled. "Sure. The more, the merrier. What do you think, Ellinor?"
Ellinor frowned. "You guys, go ahead. I need to pick up my kids from kindergarten.”
Bartlett replied with a smile. “We can accompany you to pick up your kids and then go for dinner. How about it?”
Ellinor was about to refuse when Byran cut in. “Sounds great! I miss my niece and nephews. Sis, bring the kids and have dinner with us. We can go home after dinner.”
Ellinor fell silent.
She turned around and asked Ida, “What about you, Ida?”
Ida didn’t hide her thoughts. “I haven’t had dinner with you for quite some time.”
Ellinor understood Ida’s meaning. Ever since she moved to the Blanchet Villa with the kids, she hadn’t had a meal with Ida and Chase.
After thinking about it for a bit, she nodded in agreement. “Let’s go pick up the kids together.”
