The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1476

Only when Ellinor's silhouette vanished back into her private room did the man retract his gaze.

After looking down at the child beside him, who bore a striking resemblance to himself, he noticed that the little guy seemed terrified. It was like he was afraid of being found by the woman who had just left.

The man's large hand gently tousled Adrian's hair. "Let's go, kid. We should head in."

Adrian snapped back to reality and followed the man into the suite.

Ellinor had only just left. When the man and the child entered, Sophia became worried.

Did he see Ellinor?

"Marcus, where have you and Tristan been all this time?"

The smile on Sophia's face seemed a bit forced.

Marcus appeared indifferent, as always. "Tristan had a bit of a stomachache, so I was waiting for him. Who just came in?"

His question was so casual, as if he were just asking about a stranger he had seen, with no sign of anything unusual.

"Just a careless woman who walked into the wrong suite." Sophia feigned nonchalance, staring intently at the man's face with eyes full of caution.

He really did see Ellinor.

But it seemed like he had no particular reaction to that woman.

The man responded without further comment, seeming uninterested in it all.

Sophia was not reassured and probed. "Marcus, did you think that woman was pretty? She saw you, didn't she?"

Marcus looked uninterested. "No. I just saw a woman's back leaving the room. Was she pretty? How pretty?"

Sophia couldn't detect any hint of anything wrong on the man's face, and she felt a little relieved.

She thought Ellinor must have walked in the opposite direction from Marcus after she left, so she probably didn't see him.
