Belinda made her needs clear. "Nah, I ain't going home; take me to Crescent Society."
Upon hearing Crescent Society, Byran was all ears. "Why on earth are you heading there this early?"
Recalling her last phone call with Jacob yesterday, Belinda felt a bit ticked off and wanted to clear the air with him.
"I’m off to meet someone; got some stuff to sort out."
The driver started the car slowly. "Sir, do you want me to drop you off at school first, or should I take Ms. Wesley to Crescent Society first?"
Crescent Society was closer than Byran's school.
Without hesitation, Byran replied, "I've got time; drop her off first."
"Sure thing, sir."
The car headed towards Crescent Society.
Byran, arms crossed like a kid, guessed. "I bet you're going to Crescent Society to see Chase, right?"
Hearing Chase's name made Belinda's brow furrow unconsciously. "No! It’s none of your business; stop guessing."
Byran eyed her sideways. "Alright, you're still playing coy; I saw it coming; you've fallen for Chase, haven't you?"
Belinda glared at him. "I'm not playing coy. I'm not going there to see Chase."
