Revenge is best served cold novel Chapter 176

Upon arriving home, I said goodbye to Eric by the elevator as usual. However, just as I was about to go inside, Eric suddenly called out to me.

He looked like he was hesitating about something. Feeling mildly confused, I tilted my head and turned to him.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

He walked up to me and asked in a low voice, "We're really going to register our marriage tomorrow, right?"

I gave him a strange look but eventually nodded. "Of course. We agreed on this, didn't we? Don't tell me you're the one having second thoughts now?"

Eric shook his head. "Of course not. I'm just worried that you might regret it."

I chuckled. "I won't. I promised you, and I don't go back on my word."

Opportunities to help Eric didn't come often. As long as I could support him, I was willing to do anything—even if it meant marrying him. I truly owed him way too much.

After getting my confirmation, he subtly exhaled in relief. After a brief pause, he spoke again.

"There's one more thing."

I tilted my head again, signaling for him to continue.

He cleared his throat and then said, "Since we're getting married, it's not appropriate for us to keep living as neighbors."

My heart skipped a beat, and for some reason, my face was burning.

I nodded. "You're right. If we're going to put on an act, we might as well commit to it fully."

Eric immediately followed up, saying, "I have a villa in the south of the city. It's perfect as a marital home. If you're okay with it, we can move in tomorrow after getting our marriage certificate. I'll also arrange for your belongings to be transferred there."

I considered his words for a moment and slowly nodded under his expectant gaze. "Alright."

Since Eric had everything planned, I wouldn't have to overthink things. That saved me a lot of effort.
