Imogen paved a smooth road to success for Archie and even turned him into the esteemed son-in-law of the Russell family!
The more she thought about it, the more terrified she felt.
If it weren't for the fact that her eyes had already recovered, allowing her to see for herself the ambition hidden beneath Archie's hypocritical facade and his sordid relationship with Johanna, she might still be kept in the dark, played like a fool!
Thankfully, she met Felicia.
Imogen blinked lightly, concealing the hatred and murderous intent in her eyes. Instead, she put on a docile and frightened expression, anxiously saying, "Archie, no, I've always trusted you!"
"Then why won't you give me the seal? Are you afraid I'll take it all for myself?"
Archie sighed theatrically, feigning disappointment. "Forget it. Since it belongs to the Russell family, I won't touch it, then."
Hearing this, Imogen panicked and hurriedly grabbed his hand, raising her voice. "Don't say that! We're husband and wife. What's yours is mine, and what's mine is yours! If you want the seal, I'll give it to you!"
With that, she pointed toward her vanity table and instructed, "In the third drawer, there's a small button-shaped decoration. Turn it once, and a hidden compartment will pop out. The seal is inside."
Finally!
Archie's heart raced, his breathing becoming heavier.
After enduring and keeping up the act for so long, he had finally extracted the seal's location from her. His patience had paid off!
At that thought, he couldn't help but feel smug. He knew this foolish old woman loved him to death.
Sure enough, with a little sulking and some emotional manipulation, she spilled everything.
Eagerly, Archie rushed to the vanity table, following Imogen's instructions precisely. He soon found the button-shaped decoration.
