Along with Stephan's prolonged absence, many were probing for information. It wouldn't be long before the truth of Stephan's poisoning and coma got leaked.
Hearing this, Imogen clenched her fists tightly, then slowly released them with a cold laugh. On her face was a rare look of ruthlessness.
"If that's the case, there's no need to keep hiding it. Let the news spread. Spread it as widely as possible! I'd like to see who would dare to cause trouble!"
Andy and Stanley exchanged surprised glances.
They both knew Imogen to be gentle and prone to tears when things went wrong. Yet, after giving birth, she seemed to have found her footing. For the first time, she exuded a decisive presence worthy of the Russell family name.
"As you command, Ms. Russell."
Both bowed their heads in acknowledgment.
After addressing a few other matters, Andy left first. Stanley hesitated for a moment before turning back to say, "Ms. Russell, you need to be cautious of Johanna."
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"Johanna has stirred up trouble multiple times. Her intentions aren't pure. This time, if she hadn't provoked you and sowed discord, you wouldn't have said those words and Mr. Russell wouldn't have injured his eyes…"
Stanley paused, considering whether to add more. After they left the rainforest, Stephan had shown signs of wanting to deal with Johanna permanently. However, out of consideration for Archie and Imogen, he held back.
Stephan had originally planned to remove Johanna from Imogen's side once they returned to Seldvale. But before he could act, he fell into a coma due to the poisoning.
"Ms. Russell, Johanna is far more cunning than she appears. She's used you multiple times as a pawn. I fear she might—"
"Enough!" Imogen interrupted him coldly before he could finish.
"Johanna is my sister. She has no other family left, only me, her sister-in-law. With her brother gone, it's my duty to take care of her. I don't want to hear another word about this. You're forbidden from speaking of it again!"
"I understand."
