Felicia glanced down at Kayla, her voice ice-cold as she ordered, "Let go."

Kayla let out a crazed laugh, her face twisting in deranged determination. "I won't let go even if I die! If I can't live, why should you?"

Her expression was a picture of desperation—a madness that sought to drag everyone around her into the abyss.
