"She meant me." A Deep male tone sounded and made all of them turn in that direction.

Alice gasped and the silver gun from her hand fell on the ground. "Au... Augustus!" She never thought he could be here with Charlotte!

"Wh...at are you doing here!?" Alice stuttered. At this moment, all her dreams felt shattered. She never thought, in the end, she would lose like this before Charlotte.

Augustus laughed, "What? Years of plotting just ended? tsk~tsk. I really do feel pity for you Alice and... Carina, huh?" He chuckled and shook his head. "You tried your best, but my love for Charlotte never could be erased. She is MINE and she will remain MINE!" He roared at the last part.

Charlotte watched Augustus from the corner of her eyes. Love? Is that really between them? What is love without trust? Just suffering and nothing else.

Yet, she did not point it out there and turned to Alice, who just went down on her knees, crying in her defeat.

She wiped her tears away and glared at Charlotte. "It's you! All because of you! For years, I have wanted Augustus! Even killed my own mate to have him! I drugged you so that you can't get your wolf, still, he wants you! Why!? Why would you do this to me, Augustus!? Because of her!?"

She laughed like a maniac. "You think you can have your mate, instead of me? Never!" She suddenly picked up her gun and immediately wanted to shoot Charlotte, but before she could do that, she was shot in the head and died instantly.

It was Mateo who shot her.

Carina only stared at the dead body of Alice. Both Adrian and Alice died. Is it her turn now? She tried to take a step back but could not as royal guards appeared and pointed their silver guns at her.

She turned around and then looked at her mate. Who kept his head lowered and not looking at her.

"Mateo, is this what you want?" She cried.

Mateo smiled sadly and bitterly as her gaze fell on her face. He shook his head. "I never wanted this, Carina. It's you, who forced me to want this. You forced me to do this, Carina."

"I always thought our love is pure. But, it was always one-sided. You excluded me and tried to hurt Luna. Why? What was your point to do that? Greed and revenge?" He smirked, "You are the reason for your own destroyal, not me, Carina."

Mateo turned to his Alpha and Luna, bowing at them. "Alpha, Luna. I Mateo Silva, officially accept the punishment you want to give my mate. I will have no objection to your taken decision."

Augustus turned to Charlotte. "Do it, Charlotte. Ho ahead. You ate the one to choose her punishment."

Charlotte turned to see Carina once, who was staring at the ground, blankly and then Mateo. Even though he is standing tough, the turmoil in his heart was indescribable.

She knows what she wants. Charlotte first started her revenge against Alice and Adrian. They were the ones who killed her in the previous life. But, Carina? Her deeds were unknown to her till a few days ago.

If she went according to history, Carina is guilty and she deserves the death sentence. But, she also knows that when mate bonds broke, it hurts like hell.
