I stared into those emerald-green eyes. He said those words to Adrian with his authoritative and demanding tone. Those green eyes started darkening, showing off his obsession and fury toward me.

'Adrian has left...' Sierra whined inside my head as she wiggled her tail a little sitting on her place. 'We lost our main conversation, Charlotte. I really don't understand how Augustus thinks sometimes! He didn't react today!?'

'And do you think I care?' I asked, narrowing my eyes at her.

'Oh yeah, well, we do because we are mates.' She whined again and that made me furious a lot.

I jerked his hands away from me. "Leave me!" I barked at him. He tried to hold me again and in the next moment, my right hand landed on his right cheek, making a 'spat' sound in this pin-drop silent forest.

"Enough! I have had enough of you Augustus Sctenzo! I can't take you!" I spat those words on his face and pushed him away from me and left, starting to get away from him.

Soon enough, I followed his footsteps behind. I don't care! I don't fucking care if he keeps me in the dark cell underground or a more nasty place than that, I only want to leave!

His every word and action started making me go crazy these days!

"Charlotte, wait!" I heard his voice behind me as I started moving father this time. His footsteps grew louder too and soon I was stopped by him as he hold my arm tightly.

Immediately, I jerked away his hands from me. "Leave me! I am not gonna listen to any of your shits!" I started walking further when he stopped me again.

"Listen to me, Charlotte!" He crossed my path this time.

"Listen? Listen what? Your curses and hurtful words? Or you will once again take me back to that stupid dungeon of yours? What will you do, huh!?"

I yelled at him. All my suppressed emotions have gone crazy and just came out without any thoughts.

"You think I am doing everything to be with Adrian, right? Good then! you are absolutely right! I did everything just to be with Adrian! Even I met him tonight in the dark forest because I wanted to be with him!"

"You know what, Augustus? My goal has been achieved. It was all my plan with Adrian to get my wolf back, then get your scent and synch it with him to convince my wolf. Now see? It's been done! I said those words to his face, on the other hand, I just dug my own grave. I don't know what is coming next but I am done with his paranoid system!

I walked past him, or, I tried and before I could even cross his side, I was pulled up and suddenly, my back hit on the tree. I gasped, not in pain but in shock and a slight fear.

This time he was careful to not hurt me! Wait... Has that even happened!?
