AUTHOUR'S POV...

Alice stood in a daze. She happily came to the Dark Moon pack to see Augustus. The love of her life.

When Adrian's man called him and let him know that they shot Charlotte with Wolfsbane, she couldn't be the happiest.

With Wolfsbane in her body, there is no way she could come alive out of that dark forest.

She planned it all and came to meet Augustus. She is ready to give some fake sympathy for the last time. On her way, she even stopped to buy some chocolates for Charlotte, so that Augustus wouldn't doubt her.

However, suddenly she felt that she saw a familiar glimpse and when she noticed the person, her whole body froze on the spot.

She couldn't help but gasp her name aloud, catching her attention.

Charlotte only watched her and didn't bother to greet her at all. Her whole body is filled with rage the moment she gets to hear her voice.

Everything in her life just fall apart because of that woman and now she got her life back. The second chance that she would not waste over such shitty people.

They not only dared to hurt her but her mate and servant. Because of their deadly plan, she was about to lose her favourite servant who is like a friend to her.

Alice suddenly felt that something is different in Charlotte. Every time Charlotte would go near her when they would meet coincidentally but today, she didn’t even bother to smile.

Instead, Alice walked to her. "Hey, hi! You are..." She stopped in the middle the moment her eyes fell on the girl that is sitting with Charlotte.

'Wait... Isn't that the omega of hers? Why she is here with her?' She felt nauseous at the thought and was disgusted.

She marched to her friend and frowned. "What is all this Charlotte? You are the mate of Augustus, how could you even allow such a lowly creature beside you!?" She even gasped looking down at their plates.

"Charlotte!" Her eyes widened. "You are even eating the same food as hers? What is wrong with you!? Why are you always trying to degrade Augustus's reputation!? Eating with a lowly omega!? Shame on you!"

She couldn't believe that Charlotte is insulting Augustus like this. She might be tolerating Charlotte beside her but how could she tolerate this?

After all, she loves him!

Charlotte only watched her blankly. But, if anyone noticed her eyes, they are burning with fire.

Hearing Alice's words, her brow raised, "Oh! And I thought you want me out of the palace? What could be more infuriating than this?"

Charlotte spoke for the first time, freezing Alice again.

"Wh... why would I want you out of the palace? Wh..at are you talking about?" She was terrified and nervous all of a sudden.

'Did she find out something? She didn't, right?'

Her nervousness gave a wave of peace to Charlotte. She chuckled. "Well, don't we always plan to flee away? What happened to you? You are nervous as if I blamed you for that?"

She shook her head and smiled awkwardly. "Oh no! It was just... Like that." Alice said, trying to pass the situation. She immediately turned her focus to the omega beside Charlotte and felt enraged again.

"Hey! Don't you understand my words? Why are you still sitting here like a shameless whore! You lowly creature! How dare you compare yourself with the queen!"

Lucinda felt hurt inside her heart. She is scared too. Without any word, she kept her head lowered all the time and hearing Alice's words, she started to stand up on her feet.

'Miss Milano is right, I am just a lowly creature. I should leave. Goddess, forgive me, please for this huge mistake.'

However, before she could stand on her feet, Charlotte hold her arm. "Seat". She commanded like the queen she is.

Lucinda was shocked and looked up at her Luna. Why is Luna stopping her?
