CHARLOTTE:

I sat on the couch in the couch with some snacks on and watched television. Kind of bored being alone all the time here.

Today, I wanted to visit my parents but what happened today ruined my whole mood. I don't feel like I have gained enough trust in Augustus and that somehow became the reason for my sad mood today.

I even thought to make some friends between omega servants which is also ruined. Who knows where he would find an excuse to get angry.

So, I decided to not make a single move until he started trusting me from his heart and not giving away my words.

As I was Changing channels boringly, I heard an excited squeal from a certain annoying person, which immediately made me roll my eyes without a second thought.

Suppressing my anger I smiled and turned to her. "Hey Alice, what made you so excited?"

She rushed beside me with a huge grin. Well, this means, there is bad news for me. And just to prove my thought right, she brought out a dark blue small pouch from her bag and held it to me.

"What is it?" I asked. Curious to know.

"Well, I met Adrian this morning and even though he was upset about you, he still cares for you. So, he made this for you." She opened the pouch and brought out a little tube like a bottle from it, which is filled with liquid.

"What is it for?" I asked again, curiousity at its peak. Really want to know what poison they made for me this time.

Alice smiled mysteriously. "Well, this is a drug, Adrian specially developed for you to wake up your wolf."

Ah! Now that's the main point! So, you want to destroy my wolf for a lifetime!

Bitterness coursed through me, yet I managed to smile at her. "Oh really!?" I squealed in fake excitement and she shushed me.

"Lower your voice first." And then smiled. "Here take it. Take it, Charlotte and don't hurt Adrian anymore. He made this for you with so much love and he himself was present along. Take it."

She urged me to take the drug and I could smell the tension in her tone even without my wolf.

"Thank you so much, Alice. I am so grateful to you and Adrian." I took the bottle and kept it aside.

"What happened? Why are you not taking it?" She frowned. "You should take it, Charlotte and be thankful toward Adrian. He is still thinking for you when you upset him a few days ago."

"Oh, I do understand your love and care, Alice," I said out loud while cursing her and her brother in my mind.

I sighed to play my next words as the truth. "You know, I am imprisoned by Augustus here. So, I need to be careful when I am living around him. I will wait for him to come back and take this drug after he approves."

Immediately, I felt tension raised in her. Of course, this has to happen.

"Why would you do that, Charlotte? You should take this no matter what! Are you telling me you are disrespecting Adrian's love and care?" Her tone turned harsh and alert.

"No, Alice. I..." I tried to speak when she raised her hand.

"No need to explain anything to me. You should take this drug. This is for your good. Both I and Adrian want to see you happy and healthy." She shoved the bottle in my hand forcefully. "Here take it. Don't make my brother upset anymore."

"Fine then. If you are insisting that much..." When I said this line, Her lips curved into a smile and her eyes lit up with a strange curiosity.

But, my next action dropped everything when I picked up my mobile beside me. I dialled Augustus's number to call him.

"Wh... what are you doing?" Her tone once again turned harsh and alarming.

"Calling Augustus to inform him about this drug. I don't want to make him displeased and end up in prison. I hope you are understanding?" I replied, looking at the phone. It's ringing.

Alice's whole expression changed in no time as she suddenly snatched away the bottle from me.

I pretend to be a fake concern. "What happened? Why did you take it? I am just calling him..."

"Calling him? Yes, that's the problem Charlotte! How could you do this to me and Adrian? Adrian loves you and me... I am your best friend for many years! And you are distrusting us? Our care? Is it so easy for you?"

She shook her head and sighed as if she was hurt so badly. Well, she got hurt though. After all, I didn't fell for her top-class acting anymore.

"You turned so different all of a sudden, Charlotte. You become so ungrateful. What sort of sorcery does he do on you?"

He does do sorcery? Oh no, sweetheart. You and your tragic brother did it to me. You even killed me and now, I am living my second life. No more your magics gonna work on me.
