I went to Adrian's office. At this hour he could only be found in his office. He ran a

biotech company that developed the drugs we used in Charlotte.

That is not on the legal list though. We made it secretly with the help of his most loyal scientists. And as a specialist himself, Adrian also was involved in this equation.

He was in a meeting when I arrived at his office. I waited in his room till he came out of the meeting room.

When he came to his office, I was pacing around with a worried expression.

"Alice? What are you doing here?" He asked, a bit surprised. I never really come to his office occasionally without any serious matter.

Watching him, I rushed to his side and almost dragged him to the sofa to take a seat.

"I think we are in trouble. I am not sure though." My patience is running out.

"Calm down. Relax first. Then tell me what happened." He held my shoulders and I shook my head.

"No, there is no time for patience, Adrian. We need to move fast. We need to stop Charlotte before she is out of control." I blurted out as his face frowned.

The calmness left his face too as he urged me to speak. And I explained all of it. Her every word and how her behaviour changed all of a sudden. Everything.

After I was done, Adrian nodded seriously.

"You ate right. She is getting dangerous with time. But..." He paused before continuing, "we can't harm her till she is still before Augustus's eyes. We need to wait and once she is out of his sight and mind, we can take our action."

That thought only made me angrier. "That fuckinh Augustus kept marking her again and again even knowing she doesn't have any wolf! What kind of sorcery does she do on him!? It is only a matter of time till he marks her. We need to do something before that."

Adrian nodded again. "Yes, you are right. Now, we need to focus first that her wolf doesn't get a chance to wake up."

"So? Are you thinking to give her more doses of drugs?" I asked.

"Yes. But this one will be powerful more than the previous one. I will make something more powerful so that her wolf is lulled into sleep for the lifetime."

"Yeah, that would be the best thing." I agreed.

CHARLOTTE...
