Noelle noticed Cedric sitting on the couch. "When did you return?"
Cedric was resting his eyes on the sofa. Upon hearing her footsteps, he opened his eyes. "I just got back. Did you go to school today?"
He had noticed the college application forms on the coffee table.
Noelle nodded. "Yeah. To pick up the forms."
"Nelly, your live streams are so popular. I suppose that Lucas knows about it by now. Does he regret losing such a talented sister like you?" Alfred asked while emerging from the bathroom, wearing a loose bathrobe. Water trickled down his hair.
Cedric's face darkened. "Get back in the room and put on some clothes!"
"Oops. I got too excited and forgot."
Alfred hurried back to his room to change. Who would've expected Cedric to be so jealous? Alfred wasn't even showing much skin!
Seeing Cedric looking tired, Noelle went into the kitchen to cut up some fruit.
Cedric glanced at the fruit platter. "Have you decided which platform you're going with?"
"No. I looked at Firestorm's contract, which has strict streaming time requirements. Once school starts, I won't have much time for live streams. My schedule will be too packed."
Even without signing with a company, she still gets paid through the platform. The only downside was that she wouldn't get the platform's supported traffic any more.
Alfred exited after changing. "That's easy. You can just negotiate the terms with Firestorm directly. They'll definitely agree to them."
Noelle was surprised. "Why? I heard that Firestorm's contracts are standard for everyone, and they rarely adjust them for newcomers unless you're a top-tier player."
Alfred coughed. "You can at least try asking. Who knows? You're so skilled. They would be a fool to turn you down."
Noelle thought that Alfred was just joking around. She thought that he could perhaps use his network to help her, but she didn't want to owe him anything.
So, she shook her head. "Forget it. My earnings over the past few days have been decent. I'll have enough for tuition and living expenses once school starts."
Alfred responded while enjoying the fruit, "What about Lucas? He has to recognize your voice, right?"
