Noelle looked up at the man standing before her, and her mind went blank for a moment. Her emotions were like a roller coaster.

She noticed that Cedric appeared unusually calm, as though nothing had happened on the dance floor earlier. But on the other hand, Noelle couldn't maintain her composure.

Xenia was surprised after recognizing Cedric's voice. "Noelle, I didn't expect you to be with this school doctor."

Xenia's chest swelled with satisfaction. After all, her boyfriend was now the heir of the prestigious Parham family in Yasnia. On the other hand, Noelle's boyfriend was just a humble school doctor—nothing compared to Justin's status.

Noelle's cheeks flushed, and she quickly denied it. "Xenia, stop making things up. We're just friends."

She had just embarrassed herself with her failed confession, and now this little bitch was bringing it up again.

"Noelle, stop pretending," Xenia shot back. "There have been rumors at school about you two being together, and then you ran away from home and even lived with this man. Who's going to believe that you're not together?"

Justin raised his voice. "Noelle, you're living with another man?"

Xenia smiled knowingly. "Yes, I told you about it before, but you didn't believe me."

Noelle narrowed her eyes. "Do you know why Grandpa Simpson has lived so long?"

Justin scoffed. "Why? Does that have anything to do with what we're talking about?"

"Because Grandpa Simpson never interferes with other people's business and doesn't gossip like some people."

Noelle looked up at Cedric. "Let's go."

With that dumb duo still present, she no longer wanted to stay there.
