Noelle took a taxi back to her apartment. As she sat down on the sofa, she noticed bloodstains on her sleeves and realized it must have been from when she helped Frank into the car earlier that day.
After changing her clothes, Noelle checked her phone and saw that Cedric had replied to her message with a simple "Okay."
Cedric was a man of few words, though when it came to roasting others, he could talk quite a bit.
While Noelle was live-streaming that evening, Frank flooded the chat with gifts. Noelle ignored them as usual, but her fans couldn't hold back their comments.
"Isn't that SweetNelly's brother? He's such a generous guy!"
"I thought SweetNelly didn't get along with her family? This must be worth a fortune by now."
"No matter what, she's the heiress of the Liddell family. Even if she's fighting with them, she'll always have that title. I wish I had brothers who spoiled me like that!"
Noelle's mood soured at the comments. She messaged Frank privately. "Stop sending gifts."
Frank replied, "Just accept them. You need the money to live on your own."
However, she didn't need the Liddell family's charity. Feeling irritated, Noelle ended her stream and contacted the staff to refund all the money Frank had sent. She didn't want it.
When Frank saw the refund, he sighed deeply. "Has Noelle really gotten to the point where she hates me this much?"
The butler, Gordon, replied, "Ms. Liddell is just deliberately ignoring you out of frustration, Mr. Liddell. Her goal is to get Ms. Quigley out of the picture. It's only then that she'll come back."
Frank shook his head. "Noelle isn't like that. I've neglected her too much, and that's what led to this situation."
Gordon added, "Mr. Liddell, Ms. Quigley is innocent. If it hadn't been for that incident all those years ago, she wouldn't have ended up an orphan and gone through all that hardship. She's the most innocent one in this."
Frank looked conflicted. Indeed, Xenia wasn't to blame for everything. Yet, Noelle had turned out this way because of her. He didn't know what to do anymore.
At that moment, James entered the room. "Mr. Liddell, the firewall issue hasn't been resolved yet. Ms. Liddell was in charge of that section. She probably knows how to fix it."
