Feeling disgusted, Willow tried to pull her hand away, but she couldn’t.
She panicked and said, “You’re mistaken. I never told the matchmaker that I was satisfied with you.”
She only just learned that she was supposed to meet him. She didn’t know anything before that.
“You’re not being honest. I’m an office worker. I make five hundred thousand a year. I’m an only child, and my parents are civil servants. The matchmaker said you were very satisfied with my background and wanted to marry me right away. I’m willing to marry you immediately if you agree to my conditions.” Mr. Lawson’s ratlike eyes watched Willow goatishly as he spoke.
Willow was truly beautiful. She had fair skin, red lips, white teeth, and a well-proportionate figure. One could hardly tell that she was a mother of four.
Men would easily be tempted by her.
This commotion attracted the attention of many people in the restaurant.
Mr. Lawson noticed that they were being watched, so he smiled and nodded at everyone. “It’s just a lovers’ spat. We’re fine.”
Then, he grabbed the clothes around Willow’s waist, intending to pull her into his arms.
Frightened by this, Willow struggled. “Let me go. We’re not lovers!”
“Stop making a fuss. Let’s quarrel at home instead, okay?” Mr. Lawson was strong. He was about to successfully embrace Willow.
Willow wanted to puke. However, she was weaker than him and couldn’t break free from his grasp.
“Oh no, Mommy’s in danger!” A little boy poked his head out from his hiding place behind a nearby screen.
Julian’s face turned red with panic. He stood up, intending to rush over with Tristan behind him.
They were just about to go when a tall and slender man with a chilling aura appeared within their sight.
That man went over to their mother, grabbed her hand, and pulled her away from Mr. Lawson with a tug.
He had a handsome face and a dignified temperament.
It was Jasper Hughes!
