My Four Miraculous Treasures novel Chapter 61

“That’s right, we all love mommy!” the other children all said together.

Lara beamed happily. “And Grandma,” she reminded them.

“Yeah, we love Grandma too!” the children called out in agreement. Their cute little voices could melt anyone’s heart.

With a bright smile, Lara stood tall and held her head up high, no longer ashamed.

In fact, she felt very proud of herself.

With four lovely grandchildren who adored her so, no one could be more blessed than she was.

Willow’s heart was warmed by her children’s words. These four were her greatest treasures in life, her pride and joy.

No amount of money could compare to this fortune.

“You may have money,” she said to Samantha, “But you can only spend it on yourself. Since it’s none of anyone else’s business, maybe you should just keep quiet about it, instead of showing it off everywhere? How does it help anyone to see you helping yourself?”

Willow turned to look at the woman standing beside Samantha, who shifted uncomfortably beneath her gaze. A moment ago, she’d been trying her best to humiliate Willow; now, she was the one who felt humiliated, instead.

Willow had a point: If you were nice to rich people, did that mean they’d give you money in return?

No. They hadn’t gotten rich by sharing their money around so easily.

Samantha watched Willow leaving with her family. Her painted face twisted with fury.

How could Willow be so happy, when anyone could see how poor she was?! It was ridiculous!

How could she be so happy?!

She’d been locked up in that shed… and yet, Mr Jasper had somehow crashed through the roof, and impregnated her with four of his children!

Samantha had gone through so much trouble to ruin Willow’s fortunes…

And yet, like a rat, she thrived in her filth and misery!
