Helen smiled. “Alright then. I’m going to make dinner.”
Willow had always been a good child, so she couldn’t possibly cause any trouble.
Most of the lights at Hughes Corporation were switched off at night, leaving only the ones illuminating the corridors.
This towering building was the tallest and most imposing in all of Buscen City.
The area around the building was bustling with neon lights lighting up the night.
Security guards were patrolling each floor of Hughes Corporation.
Edith evaded the security guards on the 57th floor and slipped into the control room. She easily found the main computer and was about to delete the security footage.
Suddenly, the lights in the control room came on with a click. The entire room became bright.
Edith’s heart sank as she realized that something was wrong. She got ready to escape.
The control room’s door swung open and reporters flooded in. They began snapping photos of Edith, blinding her with camera flashes.
Edith covered her face at once and roared, “What are you doing? Delete these photos or I’ll sue all of you!”
The reporters weren’t fazed by her threat. A bold reporter went over to her with a microphone and held it towards her. “Ms. Price, tell us what made you betray Hughes Corporation by selling their design to Ziegler Corporation? Was it due to benefits?”
Edith panicked. She pushed the microphone away and snapped, “What nonsense are you spouting?! I didn’t betray Hughes Corporation!”
“Is that so? Then why are you trying to delete the security footage? Isn’t it because you’re guilty?” The reporter moved the microphone back to Edith.
The other reporters surrounded Edith and bombarded her with questions as well.
