My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1536

Finn's expression stiffened, and he furrowed his brows.

He couldn't explain why, but a sense of foreboding crept into his heart. Then, he glanced at his phone again, unwilling to give up.

There were no missed calls.

He had saved the contact information for Steven and the others, waiting for them to contact him. Yet, there had been no response since causing such a commotion at the press conference.

Not only had they failed to address the situation on public platforms, but they had also not bothered to call him.

The least they could do was admit their fault, right? If they apologized, things wouldn't look so bad.

"What are you thinking about?" Miriam turned her head and saw Finn looking somewhat lost in thought.

Instinctively, she assumed Finn might be reluctant to let go of his three sons. She had always been unhappy with Finn's past.

Seeing that Janine's three sons were now doing quite well only made her feel more uncomfortable. She even harbored a growing desire to see them all fall.

Why had they come to Jipsburg? They should've stayed in the countryside!

They should go back to their tough lives in the countryside. Otherwise, the grudge in her heart would never dissipate.

"We actually don't know enough about them. They've done well these past few years, and now that they aren't contacting us or speaking to any reporters.

"Could they have thought of a way to handle this?" Finn voiced his concern.

"Aren't you overestimating them? I grew up in Jipsburg and knew some influential people. They came to the capital from the countryside for college and have only been here for a few years. They have no background to speak of.

"Even if they're clever, there's no way they can turn things around. You really don't need to overthink this," Miriam said, her inherent disdain for Janine and her children evident.

She saw herself as naturally superior.
