Love Beyond the Mask novel Chapter 1134

Shane stood there, momentarily stunned, staring into Ludwik’s piercing eyes. Though calm on the surface, they swirled with a stormy intensity that seemed ready to tear Bryce apart.

Ludwik drew back his gaze, his lips pressed into a stern line. “They’re going to start by draining Parisa’s cash accounts to bribe officials and sway public opinion. Then they’ll move on to transferring stocks and funds, maybe even seizing the company. Once they show their hand, the evidence of their illegal activities will be laid out for everyone to see.”

“When that time comes, we’ll have your uncle, Parker, step in. I doubt he didn’t see Bryce the night of the attack. His testimony could directly implicate Bryce in an assassination attempt.”

He paused, eyes turning to Parker with a cold intensity. “And Parisa… How’s Whitney holding up? After a whole night of searching…”

“We didn’t find anything, and Whitney’s dad, Mr. Sheldon, is also missing,” Parker responded, frustration etched on his face. “Ludwik, the best outcome is that Parisa’s alive. My uncle can only prove one of Bryce’s crimes, but if Parisa can testify, she’ll put Bryce and Florence behind bars for good.”

Parker’s voice was tinged with anger and sorrow. “But after a whole night of searching, there’s no sign of her. She might have fallen into the canyon's hidden current, and Whitney said Florence forced her to take poison. She might already be gone…”

Ludwik’s fingers drummed steadily on the edge of the table, his expression unreadable. Suddenly, he looked up, furrowing his brow. “A whole night without finding her isn’t necessarily bad news. You mentioned Hudson is missing too. What if he found Parisa? I have this feeling, Parisa isn’t someone who’d just disappear like that.”

“I told Whitney the same thing to console her, but she’s devastated,” Parker admitted.
