Lily fell silent. This draft had been born on a night when she’d had a little too much to drink as she reminisced about the early days of her marriage to Xavier. The Inspiration struck her then. 

What was she thinking? She was still bitter about the villa she had carefully designed but never lived in. 

She still felt regrettol that the marriage she had worked so hard to nurture only lasted for two years. She was still feeling heartbroken that Xavier didn’t love her. 

Terence sent another message after seeing no response from her. “This draft is excellent no matter where your inspiration came from. I knew you could do it.” 

Lily simply responded with two words. 

“Thank you.” 

She submitted her design dratt for the second round of the competition 

Hazel had prepared dinner when she got home. Hazel’s attitude toward her had changed entirely lately. She hadn’t caused her any trouble other than disallowing

The results for the second round of the competition were to be announced a week after submission. All contestants were required to gather in person for the results announcement. 

Lily was extremely busy that week, so she didn’t have the time to think about Xavier. 

It wasn’t until the day of the results that she immediately saw him being respectfully escorted out of the car by the event organizers as she stepped out of the cab. He was dressed in a tailored black suit paired with a black shirt. He didn’t wear a tie. The top two buttons of his shirt were casually undone. 

His partially revealed collarbone exuded a sensual allure. He was like a pheromone that came to life. All the women were captivated by his presence wherever he went. Lily couldn’t deny that he was still captivating and attractive as usual. 

Sarah stood by his side and was dressed in work attire. Her hair was long and wavy, and her makeup was flawless. Every movement of her exuded an air of a confident and capable woman 

Xavier’s commanding presence overshadowed hers, making her appear more delicate and demure by comparison 

A small entourage surrounded them as they entered the hotel, but they didn’t notice Lily. 

Lily watched as they entered before taking a deep breath and starting to walkin. However, a security guard stopped her. 

“Who are you? 

“I’m the contestant for the second round of the competition.” Lily pulled up her pass on her phone. 

The security guard pointed to a side entrance. “Contestants have to use that door!” 

The event organizers had rolled out a red carpet stretching from the hotel entrance to the side of the street to accommodate Xavier and Sarah. It was likely for other sponsors as well.

A massive banner that advertised the Avelon Designs Competition was hung in the hall inside the hotel. Nova Group and Devereux Group were equally listed as the top sponsors. The banner also featured the photos of Xavier and Terence. 

Xavier exuded a commanding presence. His perfectly sculpted features made him seem unapproachable. On the other hand, Terence had a wann demeanor. His handsome face and faint smile made him appearamiable. 

Half of the contestants in the hall were women. They gathered around and chattered about the two men.
