Chapter 80
Sarmel and Eleanor had never been pleased with the idea of custody going to her. Even though Leon had made his stance clear to them, there was no guarantee they would not fill Edwin’s ears with all sorts of nonsense
“I’m not discussing this with you,” Leon said firmly
“And how can you be sure that taking Elwin back with you will give him a stable life? Don’t forget, aside from work, you spend most of your time with Eva. Do you really want him to constantly see you two together, looking intimate and inseparable? Victoria suppressed her apprehension toward him and spoke bluntly.
Leon lifted his eyes. He wanted to dispute her choice of words, but after a brief pause, he chose not to.
“You can have someone secretly protect him, but he has to stay with me,” Victoria insisted.
Seeing how determined she was ready to argue endlessly if he refused, Leon ultimately gave her acurt response. “As you wish.”
Victoria let out a breath of relief
To be honest, she had been afraid of not being able to win against him. If Leon had truly insisted, there was nothing she could do to stop him. After all, they were not officially dworced vet, and they both still held custody rights over Edwin
After leaving Waterside Manor, she headed straight to the hospital.
Leon remained outside, watching her figuredisappear from sight before finally pulling out his phone and calling Aaron.
“There’s no need to inform Warme about Victoria.”
“You change your mind faster than the weather,” Aaron remarked.
“Pull your people back. There’s no need to keep monitoring him, just treat him as an ordinary bar employee,” Leon said unhurriedly.
Aaron was momentarily taken aback. This sudden change did not make sense.
“If you pull your people back, Wayne will definitely try to make trouble for Victoria. It won’t be difficult for him to find out where she’s living,” Aaron warned. Leon remained indifferent. “Do as I said.”
