Victoria’s hand holding the glass shard trembled slightly, but her feet inched toward the door. 

Everyone in the room noticed this motion 

“Mr. Smith, it looks like you’re not that interested in rebuilding your company, after all, one of the men remarked. He put his wine glass down, looking visibly displeased. “If that’s the case, I’ll skip the drink” 

The glass was slammed on the table with a load thud, and Wayne’s expression hardened 

He had fought hard to re–establish connections and rebuild his business, and he wouldn’t let this rebellious daughter ruin everything. 

When he first found out she had married Leon, he had hoped to leverage their relationship to save his company, but she had told Leon she didn’t know him, causing him to miss muny opportunities. 

“I’ll give you one last chance,” Warme said, eyeing the glass shard in her hand. “Otherwise, don’t blame me for disregarding our father daughter relationship.” Victoria ignored him
