Nanson let out a sigh, "Sis, maybe I really misjudged her! By the way, where's Annie?"
"She's in her room."
Nanson headed towards Anthea's room and knocked on the door.
"It's open," came Anthea's voice from inside.
Pushing the door open, he found Anthea sitting by the window, surrounded by a mess of dismantled gadgets.
"My clever niece."
"Hmm?" Anthea glanced up slightly, "So, Uncle, did my suspicions prove right?"
Nanson nodded, "Now I'm wondering, who really is Violet? Could everything about her, even her name, be a lie?"
Her address was fake.
Her job was fake.
Violet was truly a disappointment to Nanson.
"It's possible," Anthea replied.
Nanson continued, "Niece, can you help me look into this? I know you've got the skills." Nanson had always known Anthea had a knack for computers.
"I can, but it might be a bit tricky." Anthea stood up, grabbed her laptop, and began navigating through encrypted sites.
What seemed like impenetrable firewalls to outsiders were mere mouse-clicks away for Anthea.
Nanson sat behind her, watching the rapidly changing screen, his eyes almost glazing over.
About ten minutes later, Anthea hit the enter key, "Got it!"
"You found her?" Nanson was visibly excited.
"Yes," Anthea nodded, switching the display.
On the screen was Violet's profile.
Violet.
Female.
Age 30.
Real name Jenny.
Hometown Brassborough.
Occupation: Lounge hostess.
She dropped out of school at sixteen and moved to Cloudcrest City, where her first job was in an electronics factory. Displeased with the low pay, she was introduced to work at a lounge, a job she’s held for fourteen years.
As Nanson read the information, he began to tremble.
"And there's more," Anthea clicked the mouse, changing the page, "This Ileana and Jenny are from the same town and have a very close relationship. Three months ago, they suddenly moved in together as roommates. Uncle, I suspect they’re in cahoots."
