"Do you want to take Kya back to Oakdale City after resigning?" The man asked in a calm tone.

"I haven't decided yet."

Charlie signed the letter of resignation, and the pen tip paused momentarily on the paper, pressing down with force as if he intended to penetrate the paper.

He handed the resignation letter towards Emily. There was an indiscernible darkness in handsome face, and his gaze was deep and mysterious.

Emily nodded slowly, felt a lump in her throat, "You too, thank you for taking care of me during this time."

She took the resignation letter, turned and walked out. Her back seemed to bear a heavy burden, but she walked steadily, without looking back.
