Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1490

Jonathan turned to chat with someone else, seemingly oblivious of the glass of water Carmella was holding out to him. He didn't take it. Carmella stood there, stuck in the 'offering water' pose. She didn't dare to withdraw her hand or utter a word. As people around started watching, her face turned beet red with embarrassment!

Natalia couldn't help but giggle. Although her laugh was faint, it was enough to draw attention. Simone shot her a cold glance. Bennett decided to step in, "Mr. Lamont, here’s your water."

Jonathan looked up at Bennett, completely ignoring Carmella, and asked on purpose, "Why isn't Estelle here?"

Carmella's face changed slightly. She bit her lower lip, feeling a sting of humiliation from being publicly ignored by Jonathan. She had no choice but to put the glass on the coffee table in front of him.

Bennett quickly explained, "Estelle was just here. She might have gone to hang out with Sallie. If you need her, Mr. Lamont, I can call her over right now."

Simone immediately gave Bennett a look and smiled faintly, "Estelle isn't really comfortable in situations like these. Let's not bother her."

Jonathan, with his legs crossed leisurely, looked at Simone, "And why is Estelle not comfortable?"

Simone didn't quite catch Jonathan's drift and awkwardly explained, "Estelle prefers to play mobile games with Sallie and the others."

Mr. Irwin, a director from the electronics industry, who thought the Macclain family and the Lamont family were on good terms, took this opportunity to butter up the Macclain family. He painstakingly laughed, "Mr. Lamont, you're talking about that adopted daughter supported by Mr. Macclain and Mrs. Macclain, right? I think, genetically, she can't compare to Carmella in intelligence and development."

Jonathan turned his head, a small smile playing on his lips, "Oh? In what ways does Mr. Irwin think Estelle can't compare to Carmella?"

The man continued to sing praises, "I think in all aspects. Carmella is a graduate of the University of J City. She started her own studio right after graduation and is incredibly talented. Even the most experienced judges on this popular variety show can't stop complimenting her!"
