Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 1489

Bennett reasoned, "I guess it's Estelle."

Simone chuckled, "Does she have that much influence?"

"Let's not get onto that right now, Mr. Lamont is here, I need to go say hi, bring Carmella over in a bit," Bennett said seriously, then added in a special tone, "After all, today is about celebrating Carmella's success. Mr. Lamont showing up deserves a personal thank you from Carmella."

Simone's eyes flickered as she smiled and said, "Sounds good, I got it!"

Once Bennett was off, Simone found Carmella who was chatting with her friends, called her aside and asked with a smile, "Mr. Lamont is here, did you see him?"

Carmella laughed, "The man even my grandpa tries to butter up. How could I have missed him?"

Simone raised an eyebrow at her, "Carmella, you don't have a boyfriend, do you?"

"No, not at all!" Carmella denied instantly.

"Good!" Simone's eyes gleamed, "Actually, the Macclain family and the Lamont family have had some connections for quite some time. Although we're not as powerful as the Lamonts, but with you being so outstanding, if our families could be united through marriage, it's possible."

Carmella was shocked by Simone's words, "Mom, you mean, me and Jonathan?" She never dared to dream of a man like Jonathan, he was way out of her league!

"I wouldn't have dared to think about it either before, but things have changed now. You're famous, talented and beautiful, a true lady! Jonathan came to your celebration, he might have seen you on TV, and he must like you a lot to show up!" Simone got more and more excited, "So, thinking it over, it's totally possible!"

Carmella blushed shyly, "Sabina is much better than me, she has been around Jonathan for years and she's just a secretary, would Jonathan like me?"

"Not many men like strong women like Sabina. Men prefer women who are capable yet gentle, you have an edge over her in that aspect!" Simone continued, "Carmella, the reason I didn't want you to have a boyfriend was to have you marry high. In the whole J City, there's no higher place than the Lamont family. If you could marry into the Lamont family, your life would be completely different, you understand?"
