He used to dodge his feelings for her, too lazy to understand it and screwed up a lot because of it.

Her cousin's recent shenanigans pissed her off, so, understandably, she's giving him the silent treatment now.

Maja, tense, pushed his hand away, afraid her paint-stained fingers would ruin the paper. She had to be careful not to press too hard.

She was working on the details, and a single misstep could ruin the entire painting.

"Ian, if you're bored, go downstairs, don't bug me," she said.

Ian stopped talking, just quietly holding her waist, not saying a word.

Maja scolded him, but he wouldn't listen. She just left him be and focused on finishing her painting.

Knock, knock.

Someone was at the door. Probably a servant bringing water.

Maja quickly pushed him away, but he stuck to her again.

She could tell this man was a bit childish.

Stubborn, always running his mouth, temperamental, and unpredictably cold to others.

"Let go!"

Ian held her from behind, reluctantly let go and returned to his chair.

"Come in," Maja called to the door.

Sure enough, a servant came in with a tray holding two cups of mint tea.

"Mr. Raymond, Ms. Pennyfeather, you've been working hard. Holden asked me to bring you something."

The servant placed the two cups of mint tea on the table.

Maja cleaned her brush, and just as she was about to switch to a larger one, Ian came over again.

"Let me do it."

He snatched the used brush and began washing it.

Maja didn't say anything, switched to another brush and continued painting.

She heard some movement next to her, and before long, a shadow appeared. He had picked up another brush and was helping out.

Regardless, his face was truly good-looking when he was focused on painting.

She had found herself absent-mindedly staring at his face countless times in the past.

Ian was definitely the most handsome out of all the men she'd met.

She averted her gaze, her hand steady as she continued to paint.

Forty minutes later, she finally put down her brush, her fingers slightly cramping.

Finally done.

Just as she was about to massage her shoulders, a beautiful hand reached over from the side and gently rubbed them.

"Mmm."

It felt good. She couldn't help but moan, but the moment she realized it was Ian's hand, she snapped back to reality.

"I can do it myself."

Just as she finished her sentence, his other hand landed on her waist.

Both her shoulders and waist were being massaged at the same time. It felt incredibly relaxing.

She even felt a little unsteady.
