Chapter 78 

Zayn deliberately made his signature different from his usual ones, assuming it might reduce the legal 

legal validity of this agreement. 

“Well, at last!” 

He had just finished signing when William quickly kept the divorce agreement in his briefcase, as if afraid the couple would regret it and shred the papers. If that happened, his efforts would’ve been in vain 

Zayn shot him another harsh glare before tuming to Josephine. “I’ve done what you asked. Now, can you drop the case?” 

She looked at William, who nodded at her, and drew a tiny breath. With a stift expression, she said before the officer, “I’m sorry, I don’t want to appeal anymore. I want to go for mediation.” 

The officer had been watching the entire process, so he naturally knew what had happened. He looked at Josephine with sympathy. “Sure, we can do that, but you must think this through. Once you agree to mediation, reopening the case won’t be so easy.” 

She smiled and said with gratitude, “I know. I’m so sorry for troubling you guys tonight,” 

“It’s alright.” The officer had a good impression of Josephine. She had been cooperative and polite from the start, and her decision now was out of helplessness “Let’s go. I’ll take 

ake you to the mediation room.” 

When Nadine entered the mediation room and saw Josephine, her lips curled into a smug smile. She knew Zayn would get her out of trouble even when she was caught red–handed. 

She sat confidently across from Josephine, and her gaze slowly traced from her face to Zayn beside her. However, her smile froze when she realized he was staring at Josephine without sparing her a glance. 

“Ms. Nadine Sommers‘ theft is backed by solid evidence, and she has also confessed to the crime. In accordance with respecting the wishes of the involved party, Ms. Josephine Dunn, we’re proceeding with mediation 

“Ms: Dunn, if you have any demands, feel free to state them now.” 

Josephine looked at the mediator. “I have only two demands. First, she must call Thompson and Winnie to apologize. Second, she needs to retum the shoes to Winnie That’s all.” 

“Oh, is that all your demands?” The mediator was taken aback. He wanted to remind her to list more demands but was afraid to break the rules. Hence, he only signaled at her with his eyes. 

However, Josephine nodded with determination. “These are all I want.” 

Right then, Zayn leaned forward and gently said, “Josephine, this matter was clearly Nadine’s fault. She should apologize to you and compensate you. Don’t be shy to state your requests.” 

“You think I’m being shy?” Josephine glanced at him coldly. “If I make her apologize to me, she’s only going to do it in the most pretentious way, acting all pure and blameless. I don’t want her to get all soapy and ruin my mood. 

“Once she’s home, you’ll have to spend the rest of the night calming her down. Everyone’s gonna be upset, so why go through that hassle?– 

Zayn’s expression darkened. “For the last time, we don’t have that land of relationship!”
