From the very first moment she laid eyes on Ethan, Josephine couldn't help but admire his flawless face and physique. Like at that moment, taking advantage of the fact that he was drunk, her gaze lingered on his face.
She had to admit, even in his intoxicated state, the sharp angles of his brows and the curve of his eyes were breathtaking. His lips, now noticeably redder than usual, stood out against his pale complexion, making him look like a vampire who had just finished a feast—strangely alluring.
After staring at him for a good while, she nudged his arm and said, "Hey, don't fall asleep here."
"I won't," he mumbled, but his voice was thick with drowsiness.
Still, he forced his eyes open and pushed himself up despite the dizziness. "It's late. Let's go home."
He took a step forward, reaching for his coat, but Josephine was quicker; she grabbed it before he could and even helped him put it on.
Ethan watched as she bustled around him like a little spinning top, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Then, he gently pressed a hand on her shoulder. "That's enough. I'm not so drunk that I can't put on my own coat."
By the time they stepped out of the hotel, it was already past 10:00 pm. Josephine caught sight of the warm, yellow lights flickering in the distance, their reflections shimmering on the water's surface. The entire scene had a cinematic quality to it, sparking an idea in her mind.
"Ethan, the view here is pretty nice. Why don't you sit down for a bit while I take some photos? I'll be right back."
She gestured toward a bench along the corridor, suggesting he take a seat. However, he shook his head. "Let's walk together. I need to sober up."
