Therefore, even though Charlie was staring at her, she remained calm and composed and constantly had a polite and reserved smile on her face.
Claudia asked her in surprise, “You’re from the Archeology Department as well?”
Vera nodded and asked curiously, “That’s right! Are you from the Archeology Department too?”
Claudia nodded and said, “Yes, I am…”
Vera smiled and said, “What a coincidence! We are both international students, we speak Oskian dialect, and we major in Archeology!”
Claudia found it very unbelievable as well and said seriously, “They told me that not many people, especially girls, signed up to major in Archeology. I was prepared to be the only girl among the freshman this year, but I didn’t expect to meet a female classmate in the same major!”
Stephanie, who was aside, said with a smile, “Most importantly, the two of you are assigned to the same room in the dormitory. The two of you are really fated!”
Mrs. Lewis said with a smile, “That’s right! The two of you are really destined!”
Only then did Claudia remember to introduce herself to Vera. “Hello! My name is Claudia DiNorscio. I’m a Canadian of mixed Oskian and Italian descent.”
Vera nodded and then stretched out her hand to shake Claudia’s hand as she said with a smile, “I’m an Oskian Malaysian. We will be classmates and roommates who share the same dormitory room from now on, so you can just call me Veron.”
Stephanie, who had always been very enthusiastic, saw that Vera had come alone, so she could not help but ask, “Veron, did you come to Aurous Hill from Malaysia to register for university alone?”
Vera shook her head and said, “My grandfather accompanied me to Aurous Hill as well, but I didn’t let him accompany me here today because he’s already old.”
Stephanie said, “We are going to have lunch in the cafeteria at noon to try the food. Would you like to come with us?”
